Thumbs down Indicators - work with alarm but not by the switch.

Evening all,

does or would anyone know why my SV's indicators will not work using the switch on the handlebars but they work with my arming and disarming the alarm?

fuse is pretty easy to check, on the sv the fusebox is under your seat

Check all your fuses, there may well be one marked 'signal', assuming its an sv.
Fuse seems most likely to me, bearing in mind all 4 of the indis aren't working I can't think of any plug connector they all go through, there's possibly a wire that could have been corroded. maybe it the switch.
Start with the fuse

It occurs that if they all flash from the alarm, then the bulbs must be fine, the wiring to earth should be and the fuse may be too. I don't know if the output from the alarm goes in before or after the fuse, but the common point may be the indicator switch and wiring, as the system works, just not via the normal switch.

Checking the fuse would defiantly be worth a go though.

I believe the alarm uses it's own fuse to flash the indis, I had the same symptoms and it was just the fuse.

Asteer, might be worth checking your wiring or the switchgear - but unless it's a big pain in the **** I'd just take it back to the garage to do.
Unless anyone can think of any connections they might have just left unplugged
