Tracks around Berkshire area...
I am looking to start doing some track days, what are the decent tracks near to the Reading area? I would travel to them so don't have to be too close. I am on a restricted licence so would have to be a track that allows them, any suggestions?
Cheers! |

You can get on any circuit with a restricted licence.

There is here.
http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/bike_trackdays.htm But the noise limit is low. Your can will fail it without a doubt. I do have a standard one that you could borrow though. |

There are some track days at Brands Hatch specifically aimed at novices.

I really need to get on the track at some point, why not this summer! (if the few days of sun last few weeks wasnt it already!) |

MSV circuits. Brands, Cadwell, Snetterton and Oulton will NOT allow a restricted license holder on track. From reading Silverstone is the closest circuit.
Try googleing for no limits or hottrax and call them for advise about 33bhp licenses. HTH J |

Re: Tracks around Berkshire area...
Castle Combe is a nice circuit but... as BA says, the noise limit is VERY low. Standard 07 GSXR 600 with the Standard can will fail the noise test. Any aftermarket can is likely to fail.

Re: Tracks around Berkshire area...
Is there some confusion between a provisional, full and restricted? Or is just me that has got it confused?

No there are tracks that don't allow restricted licences, as Jay said, the MSV ones, I couldn't remember the name for them.
