When I came off the leaver sheared, and the rod bent.
New lever but straightened out the rod in a vice and I have had no problems at all. In fact, I ended up with a K4 (I think) lever on a K3. With the original lever I occasionaly knocked it down a gear by accident  (OK I KNOW this shouldent happen); with the new lever which is straighter I no longer have the problem.

if the selector shaft is bent dont hammer it through the case. you will have to cut the bent bit off. forcing it through the case may well damage the case beyond use. ATB paul
