Empty goes down
Yep, joined the broken bike crew this morning (well more broken than normal anyway).
Had set off for work, turning right on Tibbets Corner Roundabout on the A3 (going towards central london), had noticed a queue of cars coming from Putney, didn't think much more about it, continued on and suddenly there is a Vauxhall Corsa which had pulled out right in front of me (having not seen the bright yellow bike and high vis jacket), with nowhere for me to go. The SV proceeds to make a sizeable dent in the front wing, somewhere at the back makes a fair old dent in the rear passenger door and then I get deposited on the road, along with the bike. Only bruises, thumb about 3 times its normal size, ache a bit, not too bad considering. Bike has lots of broken plastics, dented tank (probably caused by my thumb), possibly bent forks and the indicators don't work anymore. Still, it was only 500m from my house and ridable enough to get it home before a trip to hospital. Big big thanks to the guy on the red Aprilia Futura (which then had loads of difficulty starting) who stopped and helped, the guy from Wandsworth council who helped, the couple of witnesses who stopped and the ambulance crew who got possibly the easiest job of the morning. A slightly shaky MT
