removing secondary throttle valve's
just wandering,
did anybody did this? can't find a tread about it? on the v-strom forum(similar engine) there's a lot of writing about it. |

I very much doubt that this would work, theres a position potentiometer connected to the secondary throttle for a start. Removing it would give you a F1 fault code and if Suzuki did'nt think it nessesary they would not have gone to the expense of putting a secondary throttle on.

If it is indeed possible then the fuelling will be well sharp. It is analogous to slide carbs, direct control of airflow...
However, with the injection, unlike a slide carb, it will still get its fuel fine if you bang it open, unlike the slide carb which does not get vacuum if whacked open and stutters or dies completely. P.s the SV carbs are CV type carbs which use a vacuum operated slider to avoid this. IMO the easy way to do it is just take the butterflys off the spindles.
