Default clutch lever switch

I have seen the wiring diagram for the removal of the clutch lever switch but something I picked up yesterday was if you remove the switch and turn 180 deg and refit, the clutch lever doesn't have to be pulled to start. My question is would it be in hi power or low power mode on the ecu whilst running if you do this as it is effective the same as bridging the wires. or will it deactivate the 1st time you use the clutch. Also can the clutch switch be deactivated wilst flashing the ECU.
