Smile East Coast Rideout's??

Hi,

I've only just passed my test and am looking for a good route to go to up near the north east coast (mates up there). I've heard that Helmsley is good??? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

over fylingdales to Whitby through Pickering and possibly goathsland (as I only went through there by coach) is rather nice.

Welcome to the PM, we're all mad, but a very nice bunch

helmsley is awsome pm paul the 6th for the extended route
but be warned take it easy the first few times, its tricky and can throw some curve balls at you (big dips and rises followed by imediate 90-130 degree turns
but its worth every ar5e clenching minute

Over the Humber Bridge, then around the Beverley by-pass heading for Bainton, then around the Driffield by-pass on to Brid. And follow the coast road. Alternatively, when you get to Bainton head for Wetwang, and onto Malton. At Malton either head towards Scarborough, and onto Whitby or Malton to Kirkby Moorside and Helmsley.

Loads of choices, and loads of good roads.
