Default Best hard luggage - Pointy?

Hi, I have 2007 SV650S. I have been looking online to see what luggage systems r out there.
Has anyone got hard luggage? If so what set up did u go for?? How much is a set up?
I would be looking top box 30-45L (approx) and two hard panniers 35L (approx).

Any info much appreciated

Thanks

I think they've stopped making it.

I got my the rack second hand of someone on here (£150 I think) then had to buy panniers and top box.

the Givi kit is really good, but the KL529 side carrier is no longer manufactured. if you can get one, great. it's best to mount it using the rear carrier too, but it's possible to do so without - but take care, then the little bolts that hold the supports to the grab rail inevitably break. I had a friend drill out the grab rail and re-tap for 8mm, and that's plenty strong.

here's the bike with the full rack set-up and E-21 cases, which I find plenty roomy (with tank bag) for several days.

btw, I dislike having a tail rack way out back, so I bought a used rear seat, took the foam off it, and (after painting it up), mounted my tail pack directly to the seat pan.

with both:

tail pack alone:

SW Motech is the other source for high quality side racks. their side carriers require you to replace the stock grab rail and the replacement is ugly, but I imagine you could find a way to make it fit with the standard.

Shad also make tail racks and side racks for the SVs:

good luck.
