Default Ticking noise......

Hi guys,

Just bought a SV650 and it's awesome.....except.....when it's running cold it sounds fine, but when the engine starts to get warmer after around 10 minutes' riding, I get this ticking noise from the engine. Is this normal?

Could be tensioners...

I had mine replaced cause they were making a noise.

I think this is fairly common, depending on severity. How many miles has it done and did it have a FSH?

It has 20000 on the clock and came with full receipts of service. The last srvice was done about 300 miles ago.

If it's not cam chain tensioners, I'll eat my cam chain tensioners

They don't always need replacing as sometimes they become"sticky" but free themselves off after a little while If the ticking persists after a couple of days riding[2-3hundred miles] get it looked at

There's a bomb under the seat.
