Far too early for me on a Sunday, I still want the illusion of a lye in

I did much the same miles, Norwich->Cromer->Hunstanton->Norwich with some wiggly bits in between here and there

Pacific Rim was a visual overdose in IMAX 3D, not much of a plot (as expected) bit wicked monsters and robots

I love going out early - the roads are nice and quiet and it doesn't spoil a day at home with the family

Quite fancied Pacific Rim but I assumed the usual too much flashing lights and hard to see what's going on most of the time! Must be getting old!

I've done about 600 miles on it now, including two track days (got my knee down!). The more I ride it the more I love it. Took me a while to get used to the brutality of the engine and the stiffness of the chassis/suspension, but now I have I can't get enough!

The only issue I have at the moment is the gearbox, there's a false neutral between 4/5 and/or 5/6. Generally only happens when you cane it but it's pretty annoying! From what I've read it is fixable but I need to speak to KTM about it.

I might have to try getting out on the bike for fun earlier, normally getting on it early means a ride to Birmingham or worse...can always wait until the kids are asleep this time of year I guess

Yeah, I think they fixed it on the R version didn't they? look at replacing parts from those maybe?

If it's anything like my bike the gear lever does need quite a bit of movement (motocross thing)...you can rotate the lever on the spline one or 2 notches to help if it's like mine...

Anyone know of a good shoe repair shop which can re-sole bike boots well?

I'm be in need of some new boots soon as my soles are almost worn through....the leather part is still great though so I'm wondering if they can be saved....anyone got any recommendations? They're Daytona Toron XCR's

I had the same issue recently Mark - couldn't find anything online so went mad and bought a new pair of Sidi Vertigos from Bowers in Bury St Edmunds - the nice lady gave me 10% off so they cost me £205. As I was there on the bike I just left my 7 year and 40,000 mile hard worn Oxtars for them to put in the bin - in hindsight that was probably a bit silly! The DRZs metal moto-x style pegs had killed the soles though

ETA: The Sidis have replaceable soles so hopefully I wont have the same issue next time

That's good to know, is that anything in the range or just some boot models?

edit: Just found a discussion on resoling daytona's, £60 and 4 weeks so I'd need another pair whilst I wait anyway...shoecare in Norwich apparently does resoling of bike boots though...the only worry is that I think the Daytona boots have a steel insert in the soles which a cobbler wont be able to provide

It looks like quite a few are - not found a definitive list though.

Well hello stranger, how are you?
I'm good thanks! You have a keen eye, I only popped in for 5 minutes to see if anyone was going to Hartford Marina tonight. But I guess not! Would be really good to arrange a meet...xx
