Default Re: "too much time on my hands"

Going by SV650rules' NGK Part Number Key the MR8E-9 spark plugs should translate as:

M: Metal Shell Size -
ø 10, 19 mm (3/4") Reach, 16 mm (5/8") Hex.
R: Resistor
8: Heat Rating Number - between Cool and Cold
E: Firing End Construction - Special Design
9: Gap Width 0.9 mm (0.036")

Due to no availability of MR8E-9 spark plugs at the time of my 7500 miles (12,000 km) service I ended up replacing them myself at 9000 miles (14,500 km). My owners manual has been amended (with a strip of paper glued over the existing chart) to say the spark plugs for Europe and Oceania countries are to be replaced every 7500 miles (12,000 km) service.
