Just bought it. Fingers crossed it will be better than the last one. Checked with the seller that the rf is functional and they confirmed.

Right, thats the rangefinder on the GER adjusted. Hoping its all good now. Not too bad a job but it was a top plate off job. The film world has gone mad, just seen an XA2 go for £50!

The supply of XAs must be low right now. Mrs Rod reckons there's a Christmas spike, she could be right, I have a ton of carp on ebay for sale right now (mainly toys etc.) and people are buying all manner of random things. Contaxes have been flying off the shelves, you could put "knackered, as you can see, this has take its last photos... OR HAS IT?" and it'd go for 80% of the price of a film-tested one. Anyway she says she's scored something so next month we'll see - perhaps it's a BOGOF on APS, who knows.

Hmm, cryptic! I'm sure whatever she has found you will be awesome. My Kiev 4 arrived today. Meter is functional, skin is in good nick and it even has the take up spool. Rangefinder seems pretty accurate and the shutter isn't slow either. A bit of dust in the lens but I can always nick the one of the 4A if needed.

Yeah its fairly clean. Still gave it a baby wipe bath though. Ever heard of a Minolta X600 Yoko? Same as X500 but with focus confirmation. Just won some disc film for my Kodak.

That's a new Minolta on me Kenzie, never heard of the x600.
Got a new film today; Fujicolour 200asa 36 exposures for £2. Cheap but the 400 asa was double the price.
Last day at work tomorrow. I've booked a flight down to a place called Lijiang and will spend a few days there. Then head up towards Tibet - but foreigners aren't allowed into the actual 'country' independently; only if chaperoned in organised tour groups.
Going out later to try some more night shots.
