Question I want to learn

Since Phil24_7 got his bike, and i have become a pillion i have really enjoyed the whole biking thing!! I would like to learn but can barely hold his bike up, my feet just reach the ground and im an average (woman) driver!! Can you be a complete novice and still ride a bike (one with a motor)???

Now then Mrs 3 day week,

Never mind all this nonsense about bikes. What when there's all that washing and ironing to do? Not forgetting the hoovering and dusting. Your fella works very hard and deserves his relaxation on his bike. Thankyou.

Seriously, though.............why shouldn't you. People who have never driven or ridden before manage it, and if the SV is a bit tall for you, there are other bikes you should find easier, Go for it!!!

You can get the bike lowered and the seat scooped out so it would be easier for you to reach the ground and keep the bike upright. But any big bike is going to feel heavy and cumbersome to start off with. If you learn to ride you'll start off on a much smaller less intimidating bike.

It's ok, you don't have reverse on (normal) bikes.
