As most will know, I have a back problem. I've found out that there's been bit of medical progress.
Rictus, it might help you out too ![]() I give you, the medical exoskeleton. Works by reading your mind. In some people that might be OK, but I can see certain situations where it wouldn't. Only a mere £300/month to rent one, plus maintenance. |

Wow, thats great.
Actually, theres alot of research around the use of electrically conducting polymers (plastic materials) for use as bio-sensors, which could help such a thing become even more practical. matt |

Complete exoskeleton that allows almost completely free movement, yet can survive a minigun attack. Comes complete with laser scope mounted in the helmet, water pack on your back (again, armour plated so you can't leak), and even a clock, but I can't say where the clock is, but it rhymes put it that way. They've tested the suit against sledge hammers (whilst the inventor was wearing it!) & all sorts of stuff. I'm sure SoulKiss still has the link for that somewhere. |

Can see it now
"it's OK we've stopped the hammer testing now, feel OK?" "Erm.......surprisingly so" "Right then, just wait there while we get the 3000 round/min minigun lined up" "WTF!"

That one does look kinda cool...
... but it needs a few guns... ... maybe a flame-thrower... ... possibly a rocket-laucher... ... or two... ... oh yeah - and be painted black. ![]() |

... you got BOLTS! HA! In my day you have to make do with a hell of a lot of plaster, and the heavy pot stuff at that - none of this nice lightweight fibreglas stuff... ... if you were really lucky you'd get the higher technology of a wedge shaped bit of wood - driven into a cut in the side of the plaster to make your leg bend back opposite to the way it was twisting. ![]() Jeez - yoof of today. Always complaining. ![]() |
