Default Fancy your leathers cleaned for summer :)

Hey guys, just thought I'd let you all know, if you need your leathers cleaned/treated. I haven't used them yet but I'm gonna try them out soon & I'll keep you posted on how it goes. (web site below).

I called the place today & they told me it's £65 in total, sounds ok to me, i think???. Take them to your local branch, they send them away to thier place in Rugby & you get them back in around a week, sort'd

Johnsons have been around for a few years, and have used them personally. good service. just to give a little more peace of mind if anybody was thinking of using but never heard of them.

Cheers for that, thought with them being a bigger company, they should be ok but you never know unless someones tried them.

How dirty are your leathers?

Don't think I'd spend that. Usually just wash them with a wet cloth

Bar of saddle soap from the local horse/tack shop and a wet sponge brings mine up nicely.

Sounds ok if your lazy and have a spare £65

Me on the other hand I use Renapur Leather Cleaner to remove the stubborn dirt etc. Then a we once over with a clean damp cloth.

Once dry I apply Renapur Leather Balsam to keep the leather soft and preserve the life of the leather.

I usually do this after 3 - 4 ride outs!

The stuff is a bit pricey but a little goes a long way and the results are excellant

I would be careful using Johnsons.

My daughter had a brand new dress ruined by them, a strip was bleached. When we complained and they investigated they said a "steam" test had identified the cause as perfume. When I explained that was impossible, the only way to identify a contaminant would be through the use of gas chromatograph they went away to think and then offered £120 by way of a no fault settlement.

I would hate somebody to have a couple of hundred quids worth of leathers ruined by this shower I refuse to use

They're pretty dirty considering they're mainly white and i've had them about 2 years now. I thought 65 quid was ok.
