Default Rockingham 4th June 2008 - vid - it went a bit wrong!

I don't always get it right I am afraid

And here is the vid to prove it!!

Taken at Rockingham today (4th June 08 ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8OvRyAXr70

Anyway, you didn't get to see much of the track in that (well a close up of the kitty litter I suppose ) so here is a proper/complete lap of the circuit from yesterday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WQczkU5hEo

and a bit more, 2 laps this time ... and the heat is on with an R1!!

I am totally fine (if you notice in the vid, I run straight to the bike and turn it off ).

It was my main bike, fortunately the bike looked a sh1tter beforehand!!

As for damage, apart from fairing, it broke the clocks, bent the screen brace, bent a clip-on tube, snapped of the gear linkage rod, and ground away the left peg (and crash bung). I had a spare clip-on bar and rear-set, the rest I bodged back together with duck-tape and cable ties Anyway, it happened just before lunch and I got it fixed up for the first session after lunch!!

I need to investigate for exact straightness of forks for piece of mind, but it seemed to ride ok so can't be too bad!!

But I have 'holed' my leathers in a few places

Unfortunate... good to know you finished the day. It seems there was a slight correction before the front slid away. Were you trying to pull the back around a bit to correct it or what?

Do you mean when the left bar hit the deck and turned the front wheel??

What I think is really cool is that if you look carefully, there is very little extra angle/lean happens between when I was riding it and when it was crashing on the crash bungs/hitting the deck ... she was rit-over 4 sure!! ... only perhaps a smidge' too far on that occasion!

Good to meet you today. Can't believe how quick you got the bike bike together. Good work. One of the Milies (the Factory) bit the dust in the last seesion. Trailer job .

Yeah, good to meet you (and your mates) too. I really liked the colours of your bike!!

As for fixing my bike, I always carry a few basic spares (and a spare bike!!) for 'just in case'!! .. I am well practiced with cable ties and duck-tape too!!

Bad news about your mates bike ... I take it he is ok? There were SO many crashes that day

Pic of the clocks/fairing/race area ... I can patch/build the fairing up with some fiberglass and have already bent the screen brace back
