The license fee pays for programs (and I like Countryfile/Horizon/Blue Planet/Have I Got News For You/ Would I Lie To You/Dr Who/Science programs/TopGear(sometimes)). I'm quite happy that the Beeb don't have adverts (for anything except other programs+ the Countryfile Calendar * ).
* and the 2019 edition will be advertised by Easter !

I've already got my 2019 copy.. birthday present from the kids.

Last years calendar had a cute pig on the front and I couldn't help wondering whenever they gave out the address to send cheques to as Melton Mowbray...

As a football fan I also say get rid of the pundits. Been watching a lot of Canadian Premier League coverage recently, they show the game, then they show another game, with highlights of games inbetween, no nonsence, barely any adverts.
During the match there is one commentator and all he does is tell you who has the ball and what's going on. No second "expert" to give you their opionion on what would have happened in their day.
Its brilliant!

Our neighbour who was a keen cricket player and footballer during his younger days turns off the sound when he is watching matches to cut out the babble from highly paid pre-match, half time, post match pundits and annoying commentators who just mainly tell you what you can see with your own eyes.

Never mind the 'pundits', what about the £86million spent by BBC on tarting up the Queen Vic?
No, I don't watch it

London prices !

ITV would be slated if they spent 1% of that Coronation street or the Emmerdale set.
