My Son was just on Radio1
Quite a few of you will know my son Jon from various meets, he was just interviewed on Radio1 by Fearne Cotton.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio...l?radio1/edith The link opens iPlayer and Jon is on at 2:48:50 He was interviewed because they had a feature of 'how does your day relate to this song', the song was Waterfall by Stone Roses. His day related to it cos he just ran Rheadr Mawddach this morning. Looks like this :- Jon has a video, so will see about putting it on YouTube.

Seriously though, could you explain what that means, or should I wait for the vid? |

Re: My Son was just on Radio1
For some reason, I can see that being a lot of fun... bit strange coming from someone who can't swim Brave fella though, no sign of capsizing at all

Re: My Son was just on Radio1
It is fun, if you get it right. I think there was a definite wet ear, if not a total capsize out of sight behind rocks on the first drop. That's the skill though, upside down should not be out of control and recovery part of your paddling. It was a sweet line and Jon made it look easy, which is always a clue that someone got it spot on.
EDIT: I just found out this drop is the one with a mine shaft halfway down! Get it wrong and you disappear into uncharted depths! At this level the main flow runs away from the mine shaft, so he had to mess up big time to go there, but holy cow!
