Re: McLaren stipped of all constructors' points
£50 Million?
There's something deeply wrong with a "sport" where a team can be fined that sort of money and still be in existance. I'd like to see the whole F1 thing fold into oblivion. What a charade.

Re: McLaren stipped of all constructors' points
McLaren will come out and wipe the floor again at Spa. Hopefully, it'll be hamilton again.
I was watching some old clips of F1 races at spa the other day, theres a beauty of Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher dueling, with one of the best overtaking moves ever in motorsport: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAmbIdwcmSo Biggles: for sure, there is alot of money. But its the same with football, and with sports such as baseball in America. I am sad that F1 is more about polotics, pit-stops and what version of Windows each car is running - I yern for the older days, when the driver skill was still a much needed ingredient in getting race wins. But it is what it is, and every now and then, it still throws up something tremendous, such as the overtaking move shown in the video above. Matt |

Re: McLaren stipped of all constructors' points
Me no understand.
If the drivers drive an illegal car then they must also face a penalty. Not fair but life not fair. They could be winning because of an illegal act. Formula 1 has to be the most utterly pointless thing in existence. Boring is too good a word for it. |

Re: McLaren stipped of all constructors' points
What a farce !!
Once again the Ferrari International Aid help 'their' team !! I guess they couldn't let Ferrari go another season without winning anything at all. What really p*sses me of is (as has already been mentioned) if they really thought that McLaren have been cheating, then they should have had the balls to ban them completely (as they did to Toyota in the WRC a few years back) not this half-a**ed measure that is so obviously designed to wound McLaren whilst at the same time appeasing Ferrari.

Re: McLaren stipped of all constructors' points
Why are you posting on this thread then?
Love forumla one and its so good to see competition after Schumacher years of dominance. Shame it has manufacturers champ is over in a courtroom. Cant understand this fine though it would be such a shame to see a team such a Mclaren dispear cos some jumped up sporting body fined a team for something they all do anyway. Its not like the boys in red have never tried dirty tricks is it, they always seemed to get away with it as well. Why on earth the FIA or whatever the court is called is going after the team that has got people talking about F1 again. Fair enough McLaren cheated but this is riddiclous, could cost many people there jobs. |
