back on after an off.
first time in 11 month back on the bike tonight after a low speed off, Can't believe how apprehensive I was.
Bike in for MOT tomorrow so only a run around a couple of streets to make sure everything works how it's supposed to.. all fine except me. think i'm overthinking it slightly.

Re: back on after an off.
I had similar just over a year ago. Couldn't even look at my bike for about two months after without feeling sick. Was surprisingly shaken up by it. Doctor even wanted me to see someone about it as I kept waking up in the night or finding myself zoned out and anxious replaying the crash over again in my mind.
It wasn't 11 months without riding for me but long enough for me to start doubting if I'd ever want to ride again. I did though and took quite a few rides to feel anything near starting to relax. When the enjoyment came back though it got better quite quickly. Still way more (maybe overly) careful now than I was before but maybe that's a good thing. Take it easy, ride well within your limits to prove to yourself you're really in control and keep rides local at first would be my advice of what helped me. Re: back on after an off.
Try not to tense up and keep it relaxed, just remember loosey goosey . Think about times which your going out and about for the first couple of rides and plan your route.
If your prepped right, all gear secure, bike running smooth and route planned this should help keep you calm and make for a good ride

Re: back on after an off.
I remember that feeling well once I finally got my bike back, just take it easy.
Keep within your boundaries and build it up slowly. And remember to enjoy it, that is after all why we do it isn't it. Not every car is trying to kill you, only most of them. Don't be tempted to have a stiff drink first...
