... you mean a bit like this one:

These photos must have been taken in 2003 or 2004, I bought it new whilst living in Germany, just before my son was born (Sep 04). I liked the bike, which was largely the inspiration for this project.

A silver bike would have been nice, but actually the blue/silver is growing on me.

Best wishes,

Alan

If only it was proper silver, it'd be the fastest too

Poor misguided fools. We all know really that the only true SV is a curvy. All else is but a pale imitation.

I really liked MG AN 34, and was sad to see it go (my job was moving to the USA and it would have been impractical to ship it).

I'm enjoying my time with RA06 FON. With a fair wind the DPD guy will bring the front wheel paddock stand today so I can finish changing the brakes, and the the DHL chap will deliver the last few bits I need for the radiator job so I can get that done.

I don't want costs to escalate too much with this project, the bike will never be worth enough to justify much spending, but I have succumbed to a set of new silicone radiator hoses (all 6 for only $30), direct from the factory in China. They will be here in about a month, I think they are a sensible precaution as the ones on the bike look like they might be 13 years old. I should have the bike clean by the time they arrive so they will enhance it a lot.

Nice. I'd get a scourer and come coca cola on that header pipe.

Did you see the Harpic Max 10 trick for cleaning dirty exhausts,

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...=harpic&page=4

I think they still have it for a quid in Poundstretcher.

Yeh.

Use gloves as it contains Hydrochloric acid and be in a well ventilated area.
