Default Whoever said bikes are cheap is a liar!

I broke down in Cardiff two weeks ago, and I have only just received my bike today…along with a hefty bill… £879!!

Tyres: 164
New CDI and suspension links: 100
Mot: 30
Service: 50
New regulator rectifier: 50
New clutch cover and gasket: 60
New battery: 25
Labour: 270
All excluding vat…

Is that a good deal, or did I just get ripped off?

But the bike is running beautifully now, and those Metzler Z6s…

Battery, CDI & recifier all going at the same time? Werid.

A whole bike loom with CDI is less than the cost of the rectifier alone.

i've spent £750 getting mine back on the road but then I did only pay £300 for the bike in the end. From memory...

New front discs £260
front pads £10?
Front tyre £80
Battery £60
Rear Brake Pedal £65
Wing Mirror - £15
Oil & filter - £30
+ Labour, MOT, Tax & Insurance

all in all nearly £2k. Cheap compared to a car but I have a car aswell...(see other thread)
