That'll be it, people aren't noticing the change between differing oils - they're noticing the difference between new and used.

The same silliness can be found in most tyre 'reviews'.

Indeed, this tyre feels mighty fine compared to that one thats half squared off and has done 9000 miles :P

Not really sillyness is it.

Especially if you notice a degradation in performance

Just changed the oil in my K7. Used Motul 5000 with a K&N filter. With the bike pulled up level the oil is around halfway between F and L. That's right isn't it? First time doing it myself.

Had managed to overtighten the filter. Removed it to check the threads but all ok and topped up.

Have used Silkoline also for years never any issues also used Motul 5000 and 5100 just put 5100 in the SV and seems fine also smells quite nice weirded but there you go. I got motul this time over Silkoline only because it was £24 and free postage. Done next to no miles on the motul yet but gear change is noticeably slicker and not getting the missed neutral which I was a bit.
Used to put castrol gtx in the guzzy I have never missed a beat. Wouldn't recommend for sv as guzzy is a bit of a dinasor

The million dollar question is... is full synthetic better than semi ?
I would have thought it clearly is, but I have heard contradictions to the effect. One guy mentioned that full synthetic burns ? I have always used fully synthetic myself.
It is supposed to be so good that you should not use full while running in. As it is so good that the engine will not bed in properly. I have lived my life based on this info
