Saved £200 on Buildings and Contents by not renewing with AXA. Still with a household name insurer too.

Also.... now off my holidays for two weeks,

Related note. Last years was £130 ish, insurer wanted £170 odd to renew this year, cue a bitchy woman on the phone upset that we were taking the business elsewhere

£2000 extra on buildings and contents + my bikes - £97

Took my Daytona out for the first time today, oh how I love the beast already and my worries about being even more scrunched up than on my sv650s were misplaced.

It's somehow less strain on my wrists, I thing partly due to the tank being narrower where my knees grip. Normally in slower traffic on the sv I found it hard not to get number hands but not on the daytona- maybe the notable lack of vibration?

Love it!

Tried out my new water filter washing the car yesterday. We live in a very hard water area and if you don't dry vehicles off thoroughly after rinsing the water spots look terrible. Got myself a 0ppm filter from Raceglaze after lurking on a car detailing forum and managed to force myself to leave the squeegee blade and drinker towels in the garage for a change. The car dried in the sunshine and it worked - no water spots. Hoorah! Main benefit will be when I wash Hugh as large parts of his body work are black, which is a sod to dry before the limescale shows up. That will leave me more time to polish the chrome, I mean go for a ride...

A weekend with some orgers and their recently adopted greyhound. Delicious food cooked for me, fizz and alcoholic liquid apple crumble, cake, Wii, Frustration and a bracing walk in the Surrey woods in the sunshine while discussing future adventures - a perfect weekend with wonderful friends.

Such lovely dogs, we've had one and my folks had 2

When I get round to getting another dog, it'll probably be a greyhound
