Oil preferences?
Im up for a service at any time now and just wondered what brands and specs (ie entry level to top quality) Oil peeps are using?, also with spark plugs is there a major diff between CR8E's and the CR9E's ? and does anyone have a preferred one out of the 2?

I use Halfords motorcycle oil. It meets the spec that Suzuki recommend, plus I get 2 oil changes out of one bottle. My opinion, is, unless you are racing the thing, this oil will do the job. I do the oil and filter every 6k, and just the oil every 3k. Regarding spark plugs, not sure, but I fitted Iridium plugs to mine, as they are supposed to be better at cold starting.

halford is good ^ also hein gerricke do a 4L tub and a free filter for 22£ which i have used for a few years in all my bikes inc the track bike

Personally prefer to use Mobil 1 motorcycle oil as engine feels smoother and sounds quieter , also use NGK plugs and nothing else they tend to last longer CR9E

CR7E is hot type.
CR8E is standard plug. CR9E is cold type. |

Ive used only heine gericke oil and rock oil. Gearbox felt a bit smoother with the hein gericke stuff amazingly. Both semi.
I use iridium plugs so i dont have to change them as often

trying rock oil this year, having used motul past 2 years, seems to be using slightly less with the rock oil.
