It's an 09, done under 3000 miles, owned from new and has a full Akrapovic titanium exhaust system and a tracker.

It's crazy that a bike has to have 170hp+ to be called a super bike these days!
nice!,but every thing i read on the rc8 gives it as 152hp and 198kg with 1148cc,compared to my very old 929 at 152hp and 170kg,so still a way to go to call it a super bike

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all know there are lies dam lies and statistic's when it comes to hp on bikes, but what i will say is you'll have to go along way to beat honda build quality, and a better more sweeter engine then the 929 has, will be hard to match, even on the newer cbr's,and all things considered when the blade clocks up 100k with out any major work,(most probably with out any work at all)and i doubt the same can be said for the ktm,and we all know the best engine layout is a v4 anycase

Yeah no getting away from the beauty of all fireblades really, maybe one day I may have a V4 but not until I have sampled a lot of the nice V-twins first I guess it's what you're used to but I like the torque delivery over the bhp.

Be nice if we all met up so we could have a good look at Deltron's bike though...if only the weather was dependable at the mo

A lovely looking bike Deltron. I'd love to see it up close, and maybe sit on it to see how it feels. I've only ever ridden my SV so the comparison to a proper sports bike would be interesting.

I think you're right. I'm only a stick man so it probably needs softening a bit! Anyone know a good (and cheap) suspension technician in east midlands/anglia?

150rwhp is more than enough for me! Whilst there are undoubtedly better (and faster) bikes out there, I'd much rather own something with a bit of character, and I think the RC8 has it in abundance. All the Jap IL4s seem a bit soulless and clinical to me.

You'll have to wait until at least the start of July I'm afraid! She's sitting in the garage under a cover waiting for the insurance on the SV to run out

Thanks! Is there a EAR summer rideout on the cards? Providing summer actually arrives that is!

We need to do the March Meat Run
If you're not on the new machine until July we could put down a date for mid/late July and hope the sun shines long enough to make it happen. I had fancied an EAR track day but there weren't many that looked interested.

I'm always up for track days! Bedford Autodrome is my local track. I've done one day so far this year and am booked on the focused events day on July 8th.

Here's some footage of me holding up an R6 for about half a lap! Can't beat that vtwin sound!
