Default Fuel tank refresh- torque settings?

Hey all,

I have removed the 4 bolts that take the fuel cap off the top of the fuel tank on the SV650 curvy (2002). I never realised the other 3 bolts were dummy bolts!

Simple question really; what is the torque setting of those 4 bolts? I have been through my bible of a Haynes manual, thrown out a load of google searches and am still drawing a blank.

My project is to take the chipped paint of the surround, sand down, repaint and replace with a nice set of carbon effect add-ons and new stainless steal bolts, and yes...I am filming the process!

The correct torque setting is.....,..,................., tight enough, but not too tight and nice and evenly spread.

Not a crucial part, and rarely removed, hence why there's no recommend torque.

Fixed for you, no charge.

No. If you're going to go for carbon it should only be the real stuff, and even then carbon should be known and not seen.

Is that the update missing from my Haynes manual?

This is a JOllify one (The picture of one is here https://www.amazon.co.uk/JOllify-Car.../dp/B00KCOATLY), so it is actually carbon fibre. However, I have sanded and resprayed the silver outer so I am thinking of leaving that silver and just using the carbon to cover the middle part, the very centre of mine has lots of pitting and just looks rough.

Its your bike and your choice, however from experience every bike I've found tat like that on I've found enough other things to make me think the previous owner should have their tools taken away from them.
