GSXR 1000 rear shock.

Can anyone tell me - will a rear shock from a GSXR 1000 07/08 fit my pointy SV/

I believe they do, just with the usual mod to the battery box it seems. I've got a K5 model waiting to be fitted but I didn't think they changed much about them, not 100% though I'm afraid.

The question has been asked time and time again though so a search should yield some results.

yes they do.. but you have to cut loads off the battery box....

and the k7-8 drops the back end.... loads.. i have one on mine and i think it dropped it about 1.5"

just to add you have to get the k7-8 lower nut and bolt coz the sv one dont fit....

no they are 10mm shorter than standard, they will still fit fine and are better shocks than k5< i have a 06 to prove but it is smaller.

k4 k5 are better size wise

Hard, short and lots of cutting to fit - not that one then, I think.

all gsxr shocks is going to need cutting unless you buy a one made for the bike
