Re: all You BIG Guys out there
I'm 6"2' and apart from lowering the pegs with bits from a Buell I loved the size of my K5!
Then again, no-one's gonna argue with you or say you're riding a girls bike at 6"5'! Pete |

Re: all You BIG Guys out there
I'm 6'2 and just about manage on my k3. Far more bearable since front end conversion (i.e no cramps and pains anymore).
6'5"?? are your knees even round the tank, or do you squeeze it with your calves?

Re: all You BIG Guys out there
Blue pete.. avce thought of that..lowering the pegs a bit.. whats the cost involved in getting it lowered..wi the price o the Buell pegs an stuff fae start to finish... will that not muck up the lean angle when yer ina bend,, andthe pegs would scrape..?
I love the sv.. but yes, i feel ma knees are hittin ma chin sometimes.. ave bumped ma sel up wi sheepskins on it.. then took them off, but i want to upgrade the seat by about 30/40mm higher.. but then am more bent over reaching the bars....ive tried the TL1000.. an its much heavier than the 650, it does fit me better.. but a dog when it comes to handlin... Re: all You BIG Guys out there
The pegs were £20 in 2005 from Manchester Harley. I'll find the part number later.
It was pish wasy to fit, just a bot of filing to narrow the mount and remove the hero blobs. I didn't touch the pegs down once with "spirited" riding - I'm not notoriously slow! You'll need to adjust the brake and shifter pegs - easy stuff though. Pete |

Re: all You BIG Guys out there
Used to run an SV, 6' 3" or 6 4" on a good day. I didn't play with it at all and was fairly comfortable.
Oh, and the GSX-R is actually a bit more comfortable, believe it or not. Adjustable pegs as standard work a treat. Last edited by TazDaz; 13-06-11 at 05:47 PM. |

Re: all You BIG Guys out there
Nope, got a Tiger 1050 now. The pegs lowered the foot position by about 1.5 inches and atouch rearwards. Opens the knee fair bit! I also converted the clip-ons to naked bars. That way, you can see where you're going without neck strain! Pete |

Re: all You BIG Guys out there
There are also the ebay "risers" that can be flipped around to lower the pegs 1", could be a good option ?
