Exclamation Non runner Pointy, Rochdale.

Sup guys, I made a post last night about a non starter pointy.
Thought I'd fixed her, rode to work today and its died, no power/ no display.

Location;OL10 2TT
Heywood distribution park.
Finishing work @ 14.45....give or take 5 mins.

I don't have any tools with me due to being a complete nooblet.
If anyone has the heart to come and see if they can bring life back into my 05 pointy you will have full gratitude and some money (ATM machine is 20 feet away from the bike)

Mods; If I am in the wrong section I apologize.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT - Had to be rescued by a friendly van driver @ work. Issue still not resolved.

thanks for the replies guys, i appreciate you taking the time to try and diagnose and help from my pathetic explanation of events.

try wiggling the cables from the ignition barrel. Also move the steering from side to side. May be the dreaded ignition block of doom. My sv came to life when I was wheeling into the back of a rescue van. Clearly leave the key in the on position. Hope you get it sorted out

This has just happened to me yesterday and it turned out to be a Regulaor failure....Check the big fuses just underneath the RHS of the tank....disconnect the rugulator and replace fuse (if blown)....then ride home on battery...
Thats what I did...

Cheers Pookie I'll try that in 30 mins when I'm on my lunch .

Just as a side note, you mention the barrel, the barrel itself sometimes wont accept my key and i need to jiggle the pants off it to recognize my key.... big issue or no?

Check battery terminals.
If not ring me and I can come over.

And get rid of the location out of OP, or some pikey type may be snooping to see if you had to leave it overnight.

YC - thanks for the advice, is that from past experience?

Turns out the fault was a SLICED wire going to the negative terminal, mechanic says it was a poor theft attempt.
the steering lock is fine tho, I'm blown away lol.

I will update my original thread also.
