What the hell is going on?
'Quantative easiing' , 0.5% interest rates, bailout after bailout...
Yes this makes life easier for the banks... but what about the other 59.5 million in the country? It just seems reckless and shortsighted. It's probably worth shifting any savings abroad. To think we can maintain what's left of the pounds value whilst pumping in £150 billion is just daft. If I ran the country, i'd let the banks fall. |

I have decided that as I can't do anything about it that I'm not going to worry any more. I used to have a Polish bloke as a client, he was a complete wino but on cheap 'wodka'. He used to arrive at the office and say 'have dreeeenk' which meant that before we got any business done we had to go and have a few.
Excellent perspective on life

Last year I bought £1000 worth of Swiss francs.
Figured that the swiss franc is a safe bet - there's a lot of gold in Switzerland. At Christmas my francs were worth £1100. Now only £1029. Argh! |

I used to think the Scots and Irish could drink until I discovered Poles.I believe they are born with two livers so there is a spare when the original expires.
