Going out to horse show, youngest worked hard with his new(ish) horse and really proved that they will be good together, eldest worked really well all day opening gates, telling people where to park and then picking up poles in the show jumping, then DJ put it all on the Pony Club website so that everyone can see what's happening. I love it when we get the truly rare day when we are all together as a family, if only bikes were involved.

Having been out for a cracking day cycling in South Wales. I could really have done with an engine to get up the Tumble and Caerphilly mountain, but it was a beautiful day with good friends

Seeing my old buddy Nigel today for the first time in years. A quick coffee and chat turned into four hours of putting the world to rights and lunch at Rykas. And then I had a nice ride home.

Finally got the root extracted today. Bit sore and a little fuzzy after being put under.

Default Smile of the day - What is yours?

Going to an Eagles Of Death Metal gig at Koko and Joshua Homme turned up to play drums.

Proper rock and roll gig it was too. But I had sneakily check my phone to keep up with the cricket antics until England won, so all in all a great night.

I should have posted yesterday, met our very own tame solicitor Ed for coffee in Liverpool, played hookey from work for an hour

Today's smile is; the bike is insured for another year for £80 comprehensive
