Electrical relay wiring help required - additional lights

Hi there,

Looking for some advice from someone good with electrics and relays. I a, going to fit some additional lights to my work bike, and I want to run them directly off the battery, however use some sort of relay build off an ignition live to switch them on or off when the bike is started or when the headlights are on.

I know I could just take a feed off the headlight wiring, or the ignition switch wiring but I'd rather take maximum power right from the battery to ensure they are as bringer as they can be, and not affect headlight brightness etc.

I'm confident doing the wiring but not 100% on the kind of relay I need.

Are these going to be running lights, or headlights? This will make a difference. If running lights, get some good LED ones, as you can then run them off the lighting circuit and not have to worry about much if any decrease in brightness.
If you're running extra headlamps, then that is a conversation worth having seperately.

So additional daytime lights not replacement headlight.

Looks like they're LED. Run them from the headlamp wiring, the additional current draw will be minimal and you'll see no loss of brightness.
