You need to do the standard bulb too! Also see what the output is like at distance

i can tell you that the standard bulb on same wall was dull off white and about 1/3 of the brightness. i'm pretty impressed so far.

Does the bulbs heat sink rse stick out past the headlight assembly oe cover.

Hey Bibio, the problem as I see it and why I went for the Philips Extremes was that the LEDS use little power so the R/R runs hotter all the time...?

they split in two with a twist and lock. you remove the shield and install that then fit the rubber as you would a normal bulb then insert the main unit. yes they do stick out a fair bit so if space is tight then dont bother.

top tip, you can fit these upside down by mistake. you want the two led's to form a pyramid upwards when installing them in the headlight.

i think both bulbs are 60w rated not 'equivalent' rated. having said that i would guess that each led cob is 20w so dip uses 40w. add in the electronics+fan loss and its probably about the same.
