Going on an adventure ey? How is B&Q these days? You could buy an SV for the price of all those ridiculous accessories! |

Re: BMW GS Riders
How's about if your panniers or "I wish I was rogering Charlie Boormans missus" social airs cause you to filter at 3mph, then at least have the decency to get out of my f###in way!

Re: BMW GS Riders
I had a right loud "discussion" with a GS rider who almost took me out, pulling across in front of me to then turn left.
When I let him know my opinion of his riding, he pulled a warrant card on me and tried to caution me! I nearly fell over laughing 'cos he was an old office plastic cop and couldn't remember it! Put him right where he belonged.

Re: BMW GS Riders
Do you HAVE to wear the Ewan and Charley overpriced BMW garb with them?
I overtook a group of riders in full offroad kit on GS BMWs..... on a firetrack....on an SVS....in race leathers I'd love to have seen their faces. |

Re: BMW GS Riders
There are 'undreds of BMW bikes around Surbiton. I see them so often. Bumped into a guy at Newlands on a GS on Saturday- there was only him and a harley rider at the place at 11:30, so we had a quick chat and he headed off to Boxhill.
Then a guy stopped on a R1200 RT- he looked at my battle scarred SV and said 'nice bike'. I was gobsmacked- didn't expect that and just didn't have a reply- just said cheers. Wanted to return the compliment, but didn't quite know how to other than, 'that looks like a bit of a beast'! (in a complimentary way). I have to say though- far more pleasant to chat to than I'd expect from many BMW car drivers around here!!! A mate of mine wants to get rid of his Ninja and get a Beemer again- the Ninja's too quick for him and I think he wants to go for 'steady comfort'! They're nice bikes- but not for me for a while...! |
