Triumph Street Triple
Took the new Street Triple for a half hour test ride on Friday after reading all the hype in the monthly bike mags. It's probably sacrilege saying it on this site but I'm pretty hooked on the idea of getting one.
The engine in incredible, I love the looks and for the money they don't seem bad value. I wouldn't fancy touring on one because the wind protection is minimal but as most of my riding is short distance it's hardly a major problem. |

Re: Triumph Street Triple
I'm deliberately never going to ride one. If possible, I'll avoid ever seeing one. I'm not a strong man, better to avoid temptation entirely

Re: Triumph Street Triple
Being a bit of an old cynic I thought that this could spell a glut of cheap Speed Fours on the market.
Hmmmmm

Re: Triumph Street Triple
I've ridden it, it's a fine bike! Probably as close to perfect as you'd want an engine to be. Pulls from very very low rpm in top gear and just goes, all the time. The seat is a bit hard, even with the gel seat option. It's visually impressive and looks a damn solid chunk of bike, everything is doing a job and integrates together. The sound on the bike when you open the throttle is incredible, snorting and characterfull like a twin but keeps revving and revving. I'm umming and ahhing about buying it, it's not a practical bike really but then what is......

Re: Triumph Street Triple
The 675 daytona is just fooooookin lovely, and quite scarily fast (in a way) so a naked one of those sounds excellent to me.
If it has the daytonas handling too then I'd be tempted to chop in (teehee) a kidney too! Chris
