GSX-R Track day rear seat unit
Hey all,
im new here, bought my 02 SVs this summer and had so much fun riding it, although looking at it i wanted to tidy up the rear end, i put a tail tidy on it and a rear hugger but i wanted to change the pillion seat. Rather than just getting a seat cowl i thought about replacing the whole rear end with a GSX-R track day piece. I was wondering if anyone else had done it b4 and if they had any pics?? Thanks in advance Deja_Vu |

If I recall correctly, it'll fit if you use a race subframe. Try contacting JHS Racing and they should be able to help you more.

Yes has been done, but what's point, will be uncomfortable and looks naff unless you put the matching race fairing on. But then a race fairing on the road looks gay.

Re: GSX-R Track day rear seat unit
Have you thought of just getting a pillion seat cowl?
P.s to change seat unit it will be lot of messing about with reloacating electrics, brake reservoir, battery etc. Also, what manner of tail light are you going to use?

My CBR has track plastics on the road and it looks quite good. Daytime MOT, no lights, no indicators or mirrors - just a horn and a number plate to keep Mr Plod happy. |

Re: GSX-R Track day rear seat unit
But that's a track bike, if you want all the function of the stock stuff then it's going to end up looking like track plastic that you've sawn holes in.
