change of standard shock
need to get a new shock, but cant really afford a pensake or ohlins. which range of gsxr shocks would be the best one to go for. i know this has been up a couple of times but i cant find it at the minute.
the year and model would be best. any other makes could be considered too. cheers |

Well it all depends--------Primarilly on what sort of bike you have got and what year it is.

ah yeees a very important bit of info that i forgot about. It would be a 99 model curvy 650. been looking at some gsxr1000 shocks, but unsure about ease oif fitting. not fussed about cutting the battery tray as that is reasonably easy.

I don't think they fit. What does fit is a Kwak zx6r or zx10r shock post 2003(I think)Look in the for sale bit,and Silent is selling one.He will also give you some good advice on fitting it.

I've a ZX-636 B1H shock spare.. but its had about 30K miles put on it.. so not quite as stiff as it once was.... and it needs a good clean at the moment...
Im not sure if you have to modify your bike slightly for it to fit anyway... somehting to do with teh battery ? |
