Google for "Catpoopman", vey helpful site there. Rejetting sounds scary but it's really not that bad- though you might find the screws on the carbs to be bad tempered.
Where do you find it not running well? Idle, midrange, high midrange, wide open throttle? Because if it's not bad- particularily if it's only problematic up top which I'd suspect- then you could fix it yourself pretty easily. It's only when you get into mucking about with the needles, mix screws etc that it gets a bit fiddly.

I run a standard filter with a reni end can, and there is no need to rejet at all. However I fitted a BMC filter with the end can and the bike did need rejetting, it was just being starved of petrol, with a loss of power. So I have fitted 142 jets, this took half an hour to do, it is a piece of **** if you take your time. The one thing to watch out for is the front choke needle connection, almost forgot this and ripped the thing out. It also allows you to regrease all of the carb linkedges for the comming winter. Something now of us probably do that often. I might do a photo How to guide soon for Curvey Sv's sexysi |
