Glad you're back safe and had a good time, I escorted -ralph- back over the border (just to make sure he left) Biggar, moffat, haartside cafe, jedburgh, kleso, edinburgh home, 370 miles, 6 wet, the most localised heaviest thunderstorm i've ever seen.

The Thundertsorm we encountered near Gretna was one of the worst I have experienced on my travels and I have ridden through some bad conditions over the last 18 years ..... I felt sorry for GP and Dave and tried to get them to an unplanned stop at a service station so they could dry kit out under the hand dryers and don their wetsuits ....... lesson learned here people , when packing panniers , keep wetsuits at the top for quick kit retrieval

Got back earlier today. Sympathies on the rainstorm, we got done twice on the way home. The first one at Invergarry really let rip, with a lightning strike onto the loch not 500 meters away! Crianlarich down to Lock Lomond was very wet to.

I tell ya what , I`ll never take that road from Crianlarich to Glasgow around Lomond again , man that was the slowest I went all weekend , would have been far better and quicker for us to have carried on through Crianlarich and headed out to Stirling and under Glasgow on the motorway .

Did the lightning actually hit the Loch ?

Well you'd think so wouldn't you? But there is a massive long 40mph limit on the motorway by Stirling, hence why we went down Lock Lomondside. Me and Amarko pulverised the traffic down there

Yes the lightening hit the Lock we think, Mark had just set off and **** himself! I was fannying about trying to get gloves on and I jumped a mile! You could hear the air crackle and smell the ozone...

Or don't trust manufacturer's '100% waterproof' guarantees! I was soaked within minutes felt it creeping through ym crotch and knees first then the rain got heavier and I was soaked through. Trying to get the manufacturer to compensate me (damaged phone) - they've offered me an upgrade to the best pair they do but tbh I don't trust em!
