Saddening but unfortunately not an unexpected event. I wish him a speedy recovery and successful legal action.
In many areas it's becoming a running joke that the roads are more pothole than good surface. It's not for no reason that the PM was recently having to make 'promises' about pumping investment into road repairs. And I guess you'll have heard the one about "Vehicles have to have an annual check to ensure they're road-worthy, what about the same for the roads?" that's growing in popularity on comment boards across the UK interweb?
