Morrisons and Asda cut unleaded to 99.9p
It says so on Sky News.
It sad to get excited about it when you consider what the prices used to be even 5 years ago, but its still better than 121.9p at its peak.

Re: Morrisons and Asda cut unleaded to 99.9p
50 litres of petrol is now £10 cheaper than it was 5 months ago.
So every time I fill my car up I'm saving £10 at the moment.....and thats 2 sometimes 3 times a week. So I'm saving £120 - £150 a month alone. Good News for me...... The prices of a barrel of oil has fallen below $69....

Not that long I imagine.
Last time oil was at $69 a barrel fuel was .70p Next time it jump upto $140 a barrel (which it will as soon as the economy picks up and there is a demand) unleaded will be at £1.50 a litre. It might have abit to drop before then though.

Re: Morrisons and Asda cut unleaded to 99.9p
This must be leaving a really bitter taste in the mouth of those that proudly proclaimed "petrol will never go below £1/litre again!"...
I am certain they will now say "well it'll soon go back up" - yes, it may, it's very volatile at the moment, but at the end of the day it's still gone below £1...and with the murmurs of unrest amongst OPEC's members, it's not a given that it will go back up... Out of interest I thought the price was lower last time the oil was $70/barrel - it was 99.9p when the oil was roughly $90-100/barrel I thought...be interesting to see if anyone has any details... |

Typical, it's bloody winter and my bike is Sorn for it's hibernation and then they drop the bloody petrol prices. It'll be back up to £1.20 come the Spring
