Ideas wanted for music festival barbecue food
I'm going to Download on Friday and am after ideas for food that can be taken (not fresh meat!) and barbecued.
I've already thought of spam, and maybe some peppers and mushrooms would be ok and of course some sort of bread. Anything else? |

Yeah get a cool bag then get some burgers, rolls ready cut, cheese all good. Anything like that really. Right off to sleep call time is in a few hours its far too loud atm.

In an ideal world Chris (or a one day festival) that'd be a good idea.
Just had an idea. Tinned frankfurters. Lovely. |

Re: Ideas wanted for music festival barbecue food
dont bother. Ive tried for years and it all goes pear shaped every year.
take beans and sausages etc. timed breakfasts that you can stick in the edge of the fire and eat out of the can. Baked pototos and foil. rest just dont bother and take cash! |

All you need is Tinned fruit coctail and big bags of crisps and haribo. Take fruit coctail tins for beakfast, get lunch in the arena and then a big fat spliff and some booze for the evening (the crisps and haribo are for the munchies). Happy to help |

I suggested the burgers as we did that at the IOW festival a few years ago and that worked out ok, burgers here are about 5 pounds.

Re: Ideas wanted for music festival barbecue food
I took packets of biscuits for breakfast and general munch then for anything else I went and got ripped off by burger vans. Nothing more rock n roll than beer and bourbons for breakfast at 10.30am
So jealous of anyone at Download this year, I so wanted to go |

Re: Ideas wanted for music festival barbecue food
That's just it. I've got a hearty appetite and don't want to queue and give the burger vans my money.
Fruit cocktail for breezy is an excellent idea. As for the spliffs, well, I can get by without. I just need to look at one and in whiting out! |
