Default upgrading suspension

Im looking at upgrading my suspension soon as im getting a bit fed up of the current stock suspension, now the questions

front fork springs- differences between linear and progressive, which one will i need for everyday riding, occasionally a bit of thrashing, nad maybe a possible track day in the future, i normally ride on my own but do occasionly take my girl on the nack, about 30% of the time shes on the back, and also where can i get linear if there what i need, i see progressive everyehere such as jhs racing,

rear shock- im a bit thick even thoguh ive read up on them, if i have a k4 sv650s do i need a k4 gsxr shock, and does it matter waht gsxr it was for, 600.750.1000,

ive heard hyperpro are cheap selling fork springs and a rear shock for under 200 quid, would this be a good option for me as it needs no modifying,

thanks
james

You need a GSXR 1000 shock from a K1 GSXR 1000 onwards, makes a big diffrence and not expensive if you find a good one on Ebay.

How to fit here;

I have Hagon front progressive springs and they are top and make a big diffrence to the bike especially if you have a better shock....

I'm now going the whole hog and transplanting a GSXR front end, just waiting for the bits to arrive

A GSXR 1000 is best as its sprung for a simaler weight to the SV, the GSXR 600 and 750 weight less than a SV650 a GSXR 1000 weighs around the same as the SV so hence is the best choice.
