Thinking of upgrading!
After looking at just about every bike on the market I think I'm going to get a Benelli Tornado.
Any one have an opinion on these the one i'm looking at is a 03 with 4665miles on it for £4850. |

Luvly bike, but can you live with it?Company is in and out of bankruptcy all the time, and there's that legendary Italian reliability and customer care.
I had a Laverda leading up to the time they went bust and were taken over by Aprillia.Luvly bike, but never again would I buy an Italian bike I had to rely on. Living room ornament--that's different.

I've got a car so as long as it brakes down in the garage i'm ok. It just looks stonking.

There's a guy who works by me who's ridden his Tornado TRE just about every day all winter, 50 miles commute. It's got a fair few furry fasteners, Suzuki-style, but it's not broken down once (that he'll admit to!) Now, he babies it- I'm pretty sure I could outrun him on my old Virago- but it's stood up extremely well to the seasons. Benelli have a pretty good rep for this, especially for a small manufacturer.
Remember when that nutjob from Bike rode one across the Sahara? They fitted bigger radiators, and he blew up the rear shock, other than that it didn't miss a beat, and is now owned by a PB staffer.

now that you have said it, sod will apply all his laws ...you will break down in the most in-hospitible weather / location and your mobile battery will be flat :P Cool looking bike though and supposed to be a pretty decent handler as well |

I don't like the way the rear of the tank hooks back and points a corner at you. Apart from that they look quite cute.
