Going to carry out a little experiment soon. Found a video on YouTube where a guy removes the IR filter from a Panasonic TZ compact, glues a 720nm IR filter to the lens and takes IR shots. Normally this spectrum of light is filtered out but can give some really cool effects. Always wanted to try IR photography but thought it could only be done with dslr type cameras.

Funny you should mention that. I saw a fuji X100 with an infra red conversion earlier, and that's a tiny compact.
The original version too but it's a high price for a very niche piece of kit.

I think I could probably turn it around for about £20. I've cleaned dust from my TZ35 sensor so no worries about tearing into a compact. Got a bid on a TZ4 for about £5 plus post.

This is the two part video I watched:

Got any film? I remember when APS came out, so much easier to shoot and load. I have a couple of APS cameras, both Canon.

My oddball little APS Canon

I also just did a top plate swap on my Pentacon, the shutter speed selector was loose so I picked up a dead model and swapped the tops.

I've got the Minolta version of your canon. I'll have to get a canon aps camera as they use EF lenses and I've plenty of them.
