Ride it un-restricted illegally?

But seriously - you made the right choice.

Good on ya

Hmm...jumping from a 8bhp speedfight to a 70bhp SV, thats much heavier, and having not ridden for a few months due to being at uni...

...na, i'll keep the 33bhp! I dont want to end up in the nearest hedge on my first ride! I dont mind being restricted, its still the most power i've had at my disposal (that isnt something to feel proud about really)

Onward we ride!

£250 quid

Mate, you will get bored real soon. I had an old fz600 with 33bhp kit and it soon came out!

I jumped from not being on anything to

CG125 for CBT

CG125 for 2.5 days DAS

CBF500 for 2.5 days DAS (inc test)

GN125 for a week until 2nd Test

CBF500 for 1 day for Test

CG125 for 2 weeks until 3rd Test

SV650 for the past 4 weeks (minus 5 days when in garage, with one day on the CG125 again)

But glad to see you are doing it the way YOU want to - I did consider restricting my SV (tho being new and following the breaking in guide it was kind of restricted, tho by me)

Is it a pointy or curvy machine? I can give you the exact dimensions of the restriction washers if you wish. Save yourself £250!

In all honesty mate. Shove in ANY washers that are the correct diameter into the inlets and if you have an accident, no-one will think otherwise if they see washers fitted. Plenty of people have done that.

Its a curvy, and its allready booked in - my dads sorting it out for me (although im paying) and he wants it done this way - who the hell am i to go against my own dad! I think its better this way, being given a certificate and also a proper business to back me up incase i am pulled and the copper thinks its all dodgy.

And yea, thatnks guys for being supportive. Its tempting to have the restrictors pulled out after a few hours, but i know that riding this way will be best for me. It'll also be great when i tell chump on an R1 or fireblade that i rode around the outside of him on a 33bhp bike (ok, not gonna happen, but i have seen some guys on bikes out there that are horrendously incapable of handling their machine)

Anyone lend me a santa suit for the festive season to ride about in?

Matt

P.S. you know the real ****take? the bike has been restricted before, bu the previous owner had the kit taken out and sold it on

Crikey man. I was going to get you a set made up if you asked. Cost £5 and your bike on a dyno for a printout £30.

If you told your dad that, I think he would come round.

Nothing wrong with coming from a low powered bike.

Had my RS50 from June last year. 15th June this year I was on my SV. Restriction was only £70 fitted. Gotta love pointies.
