Especially if its fuel related when its above a hot engine and next to electrical cables!

I had this exact problem about a month ago. I had new gaskets, got them blasted clean, new drain screw, checked all fuel lines, check tank and still leaked.

Bought a working set of carbsand it didn't leak, then after the next 2 checks still leaked..........

Then after some carb cleaner in the tank and a good shake around they stopped. I'm adament that it was something blocking the carb and causing it to overflow and possible leak from there.

Possibly, I'm gonna try to strip it down sometime over the next few days to have a look

I have a set of smashed up carbs in my garage so I'll take some pics and you can say what bit it is

My 2002 SV650 has been sitting for 18 months and I've been starting and warming it up once and month. This evening I start it up and a lot of fuel is leaking from one of the pair of drain hoses between the carbs when the engine running.
The hose comes from near the top of the carb where the diaphragm is.

Is this a float bowl overflow?
