SV650.org - SV650 & Gladius 650 Forum

Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).
There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too.

Sorry it's ridiculous to suggest that just because you own a computer, you should know how to administer and fix it.

Only a bit differnt from building a house and Four Clicks.

OK, building a wall in your garden, I've done it and it's a piece of ****, but how many people do you think have?

There are lots of things that you own that occasionally need stuff done to them, where the task is actually very simple, but you can't do it 'cos you don't know where to start.

Why not submit it to a public vote then?

I can't think of any other forum frequented by 99.9% adults where those photos wouldn't be perfectly fine as part of a thread on topic and not posted simply for gawking at or shock value

I think Ralph was pretty good to take this to another thread. TLW stop debating silly points about computer security - the question here is about the U rating, not about whether people can work their own computers. Most other sites don't declare that they are U rated and therefore don't have to stick to it. It's one of those things that makes this place different.

Public vote wouldn't work as some members only drop by occasionally, so it wouldn't be a good representation of overall site users. This is why we have mods instead.

Personally I didn't find Bigape's firkin leathers thread nearly as graphic, even if the injuries were more serious.

The BBC wouldn't allow pictures like that. I think they're a pretty good yardstick for what is U rated.
