Sounds like a dodgy earth to me. Can't really give any pointers on the curvy unfortunately.

Check the main engine earth & battery terminals for a start. Someone will be along shortly with better knowledge of the curvy electronics.

if it does the speedo thing and you start to lose power I'd guess regrec. My speedo went mental in days leading up to it's death then it started cutting out along with it....then it was unrideable. symptoms were similar to a bad earth. possibly worth checking your battery with a multimeter.

speedo is fine, runs fine just fuel light randoms flashes on occasions and rev counter looks like its jumping on a spring

will have the front end of at the weekend and have a look at the wires going to the clocks,, if no joy then will have to dig deeper... still intend to ride it until then

I know nothing about a lot of things. HOWEVER, on my Thundercat a rev counter is used as a fault code indicator and bounces to and sticks at 3k or 7k to illustrate a problem.

Is your rev counter just dying or does it go to a certain rev then works then back to a certain rev?

E.g. It the Thundercat would shoot to 3k (or 7k can't remember) to indicate a problem with the fuel sensor wiring

You reckon they'd do something as clever as that on an sv?
